First Field Trip

I just wanted to give you a heads up because this field trip is rapidly approaching.  I do not have the field trip permission slips yet.  As soon as I do, I will send them home for you to sign. I will need to sign and return by the due date on the permission slip in order for your child to attend. I also need 2 chaperones to attend the field trip- Please see below the time that we are at the Main Library on N. Laura Street.  The first two parents to email me back that have already secured their volunteer cards can go. I'll get back to you via e-mail to confirm. Parents are to meet us at the library.

The district is launching a new initiative that allows all K-2 students the opportunity to visit local libraries in an effort to support literacy within Jacksonville. Community and Family Engagement has worked hard to create a partnership with the City of Jacksonville for coordinating all requests to support this experience.  This is a free field trip for all schools, the district will cover the cost for buses.  Due to space limitations, schools were assigned designated dates throughout the school year. 

We have the following schedule:

October 6th  (10:00- 10:55)  (I'm not sure what time buses will leave the school. We are scheduled to be at the library by 10:00.)
