PTA Letter

Thank you so much for your support with the Boosterthon Fun Run today.  I am sad that I was unable to make it but I heard it was a great success.  Now it is collection time.  Please remember that the first collection due date is next Friday February 6th and that teachers will receive 10 percent of their class’s collection total by this date.  The second and final collection is the following Friday.

Also upcoming….

We have partnered with the music teachers to help raise funds for the music department by selling chocolate rose lollipops the week before Valentines day.  I know in the past, we have pre-sold lollipops and delivered them to classrooms but our school has grown so much in recent years and that process was very time consuming that we wanted to try it a different way this year.  We will see how it goes…..   Pops will be available for purchase Mon-Friday February 9th-13th from 8:00-8:30 by the world wall as well as all day in the music room.  Students that have money can visit the music room and purchase pops when it is convenient for each teacher.  Pops will still cost $1.00 each and will come with a valentine that students can fill out and still deliver to friends, families and teachers.   Thank you for your support with this!!

Also, on February 19th, PTA will be hosting a Frozen Story Night at the school with 3 very special guests…..Elsa, Anna, and Olaf.   The program will run from 6-8 pm.  From 6:15-7:00 we are looking for teacher volunteers to read winter themed stories in their classrooms.  Then, students and their families will gather in the cafeteria for refreshments and a photo and meet and greet with Elsa, Anna, and Olaf.  There will be three 15 minute sessions in which you will read a few stories.   Students and families will be given a list with room numbers and they can attend three different classroom sessions.  We hope to be able to use the All Call to direct families between the sessions and then into the cafeteria.
