FIELD TRIPS

Dear Parents, Volunteers and Community Members, 

We appreciate your partnership in the education of our children.  Your time and devotion are valuable to us.  To ensure safety for all students, please follow the directions below to become an approved volunteer.  You must be a Duval County approved volunteer in order to chaperone, volunteer or visit your child's classroom and even to eat lunch with your child.  Please help us keep our campus and all children safe! 

All parents are to provide their own transportation to the field trip sites.

2.  Go to the "PARENT" link and click on "VOLUNTEER"

3.  Click on the link on the volunteer page.

4.  Fill out the application and submit it

Once you have completed the application, you will receive a letter in the mail that will tell you if you have been approved or denied.  You can also contact Ms. Gable in the front office after 72 hours and she will be able to look it up on the database.   

2014-2015 FIELD TRIPS

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are in the process of planning several exciting field trips to enhance our learning. 

These trips will support areas of study within our classrooms.   

We have not received confirmation on the dates, times, and places. So...... please keep in mind this may all change. 

1. UNF Nature Preserve- November 13th
   (8 chaperones only) Ms. Greene, Ms. Baker, Ms. Varges, Ms. Johnson, Ms. Kane,         Ms. Wampler, Ms. Webb, Ms. Hendrickson

2. First Coast Nutcracker-Dec. 18th
   (4 chaperones only) Ms. Newkirk, Ms. Farhat, Ms. Hancock, Ms. Meara
3. IMAX Theater -March 31st 
(4 chaperones only) Ms. Love, Ms. Kane, Ms. Kauford, Ms. Wampler

4. ZOO-April 30th
   (8 chaperones only) Ms.Meara, Ms. Gohain,  Ms. Squires, Ms. Roark, Ms. Sullivan,
 Ms. Ceballos, Ms. Wampler, Ms. Vargas

2013-2014 FIELD TRIPS

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We have planned several exciting field trips to enhance our learning.  These trips will support areas of study within our classrooms.  At this time we are collecting money and permission slips for two trips.  For our field trips we must purchase tickets for our chaperones at the same time as our students.  The cost for chaperones is located on each field trip form.  Please see your child’s teacher to sign-up for chaperoning. There are limited slots and we want everyone who wants to have a chance. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT ACCORDING TO THE DCPS POLICY, CHAPERONES ARE UNABLE TO BRING YOUNGER SIBLINGS ON FIELD TRIPS.  CHAPERONES MUST ALSO HAVE COMPLETED ALL VOLUNTEER FORMS IN THE FRONT OFFICE TO ATTEND.   IF YOU PLAN ON ATTENDING YOU NEED TO COMPLETE THE FORMS NOW. All chaperones will need to provide their own transportation or carpool with other parents.

At this time, please fill out the attached permission slips and send the total amount of money due for these two trips by 11:00 a.m. on October 4, 2013.  Checks can be payable to Bartram Springs Elementary (please put in the memo 2^nd grade field trip).  Cash is also accepted, please have it be exact.The total amount needed is $18.00.

Costs and more details will be posted at a later date.

All field trip fees are collected in ONE payment for the whole year. ALL PAYMENTS AND PARENT RELEASE FORMS ARE DUE BY SEPTEMBER 28TH.We will have a sign in sheet at Open House for chaperones. Please only sign up for one as your first choice.
